Built by an FAA-certified Part 107 remote pilot
UAS SkyCheck is built and maintained by Ayush Jha, an FAA-certified Part 107 remote pilot and the founder of SudoKodes LLC. It is not a venture-backed team or a repackaged data feed. It is a tool built by a pilot who wanted one fast, honest answer before every flight.
Why it exists
A real preflight check is scattered across half a dozen government and weather sites: airspace class here, TFRs there, weather somewhere else, restricted zones on yet another map. Standing in a field with a launch window closing, a 30-second decision turns into a 15-minute scavenger hunt. UAS SkyCheck pulls all of it into one screen and returns a single 0-to-100 safety score, with the reason for every point deducted.
The principle it is built on
One rule governs every design decision: a false “all clear” must be structurally impossible. When any input is missing or stale, the score caps toward caution rather than showing green. The tool would rather tell you to double-check than ever let you launch on a green light it could not stand behind. That is the difference between a convenience and something you can actually trust before a flight.
Written by a certified pilot
The guides on this site are written from the seat, by someone who holds the same Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate the rules describe. When a post explains a weather minimum or an airspace boundary, it is explaining a decision the author has had to make on a real flight, not summarizing a page found somewhere else.
What it is not
UAS SkyCheck is an independent pilot tool, not an FAA-certified product, and it does not replace official requirements. You still obtain LAANC authorization through an approved provider and check FAA NOTAMs before you fly. The pilot in command is always responsible for the final decision. UAS SkyCheck is built to make that decision faster and better informed, not to make it for you.
